Throwback 2012 : We take care of our own
One of the hit songs released in 2012 was “We take care of our own” by Bruce Springsteen…
I was doing a Certification program in another city in 2012 and I met this young and ambitious trainer, with a sparkle in his eye, his smile had intention, his words had aspiration, his sentences had purpose…I want to be big someday he said…
I wished him well.. we enjoyed each others company during the program…and the next time I saw him was a few months later in Mumbai when our Global CEO Jukka Sappinen was conducting Advanced Training.. The business was only two years old in India and we had Jukka coming in to support us with Advanced Training Workshops.
On the first day of the program, there was someone with him and before I could ask, he said.. She’s a friend, she will sit here for a while but not attend the program as a participant, but she is with me…I hope that its ok…
The lady was gentle, polite, soft spoken and petite and it was only later that I found out we shared common interests in music and poetry…
The program went off well.. almost 10 years to the month and dates also in f act…The person started using Extended DISC Assessments and simultaneously started equipping himself with associations of global leaders… he started developing a brand around himself, built a reputation for himself and his work, kept in touch with Psychometric Assessments, kept learning, kept growing…
The friend and the gentleman, got married ..

I've been lookin' for the map that leads me home
Many trials and tribulations in their life, challenges, road bumps and situations they could not have imagined …but they remained strong for each other and to each other…
Two days back, I get this message from the gentleman…I am happy to share that we are blessed with a baby boy….
From a young and aspiring trainer to a known brand in his chosen space.. this gentleman will surely be an example to many as would his wife who has shown exemplary character in being with him through his pursuits and stood strong with him, behind him, leading him sometimes, encouraging most of the time…
And for me this is one more success story of how we at Extended DISC India have seen the tender shoots of love blossom into a strong tree of relationships bearing its own fruit now… We wish the couple and the baby the very best…
